Katie and I sat in our freshman/sophomore year dorm rooms dreaming up what it would look like to live our biggest dreams and what it would take for that to happen. Now we’re graduated, adulting (well trying), and she is killin’ the music scene. It makes me so proud and so joyful to play a small part in this journey, to be able to watch her milestone after milestone work her butt off to live her dream. Katie doesn’t apologize for who she is. There is a whole lot of sass, confidence, and southern soul in her and I have learned so much from her about what it looks like to be yourself, unapologetically, and what it means to be unafraid of “no” and closed doors. Her perseverance is taking her places and it has been so fun to sit back and watch her what she is so obviously created to do. Here’s a glimpse into a recent session I did with her.
