Heartfelt Fall Wedding at Diamond Creek Farms | Nashville Wedding Photographer | Lauren and Kreigh

Weddings

Lauren and Kreigh’s Diamond Creek Farms Wedding was one of the most heartfelt days I’ve had the honor of being part of.

I photographed their day and Collier (my husband, did you know we work weddings together!?) shot video of their day. Check out Lauren and Kreigh’s wedding video!

Leading up to the Wedding

In my initial conversation with Lauren and Kreigh, their biggest wedding day priorities were spending time with their people, not missing a moment, and celebrating big. They wanted the day to perfectly balance the reverence for merging their lives and the joy of celebrating that.

Because of their priorities, some things we did on their day was have a longer photo timeline to get rid of any temptation to rush from thing to thing, leave some gaps unscheduled to make sure there was ample time for getting candids with their loved ones, and creating space for moments that they could step away throughout the day to take in everything that was happening. That looked like doing portraits both before the ceremony and during the reception so they could sneak away and have a few moments.

The Day Of | Diamond Creek Farms Wedding

It was the type of fall day in Nashville that you dream of. It was cool, breezy, and the trees were bursting with color. The mood was excited as the bridal party got ready. The Bridal and Groom suites on site at Diamond Creek Farms are beautiful. The Bridal Suite was flooded with beautiful light throughout the morning.

One of Lauren’s priorities for the day was honoring her mom who has passed away. She wove in details through the day to honor and remember her. She had multiple pieces of her mom’s handwriting, in her veil and in handkerchiefs. It was so special for Lauren to have her mom woven into the day.

Lauren is the author of a book titled, “The Wait Will not be Wasted”, talking about the journey of singleness and navigating being single while you have a deep desire to be married. She made videos over the years to her future husband, that she gifted to Kreigh in a video book the morning of their wedding.

The first look was sweet, heartfelt, and relaxed. Their day was finally here!

Ceremony on the Lawn

One of the best parts about a Diamond Creek Farms Wedding is that the backdrop really speaks for itself. The rolling Tennessee hills, the stunning fall colors, and the lush pasture surrounding the outdoor ceremony space, really give you beautiful backdrop for your ceremony.

Another way that Lauren and Kreigh honored Lauren’s mom was that Lauren had all of the women in her life that stepped in as mother figures after her mom passed, carry a rose down the aisle during the processional and they laid each rose on a chair next to her dad’s seat. There truly wasn’t a dry eye watching it all unfold.

The Reception | The Grand Reception Room at Diamond Creek Farms

Following the ceremony, hugs, squeals of joy, and warm congratulations filled the air. While most of the day was overcast, cocktail hour overlooked the glowy sunset that popped through for a short window. Meanwhile everyone enjoyed reconnecting with friends and giving Lauren and Kreigh happy congratulations and share in their excitement.

Afterward, they danced with their guests and soaked in all the celebration at the reception. As their wedding came to a close, we snuck off for some fun photos in the Groom’s suite. It’s such a vibe! It was also really important to Lauren and Kreigh to take a moment to breathe. They wanted to enjoy a few moments once the formalities were in the past and they were a different level of relaxed.
