It was such an honor to be the photographer for this beautiful modern Cannery Ballroom wedding reception and St. Henry Catholic Church ceremony in Nashville. I think Cannery holds such a special place in my heart because that’s where I got married (in Cannery’s ONE Historic Event Space…so it’s always incredibly special to be photograph weddings there. While the venue is great, Megan and Matt are truly one of a kind. They exude joy and fun wherever they go. Their day was so lighthearted and special. Matt has family in Nashville so they decided to celebrate their wedding day in Nashville. It was a whole weekend full of celebrating with their most loved ones. These two know how to celebrate and they took every opportunity to do so on their big day and the weekend of.
The bride and groom got ready at two separate locations in the Belle Meade area. Megan spent the morning with her family and bridesmaids getting ready in a stunning family friend’s home in Belle Meade. We headed to St. Henry Catholic Church for the ceremony as soon as the girls were ready. Matt’s family has ties to St. Henry Catholic Church which made the ceremony even more special. It was a sacred and joyful ceremony and I don’t think I’ll ever grow tired of watching two people promise forever to each other.
The bridal party hopped on a Nashville Party bus after the ceremony to go to the Pedestrian Bridge near Nissan Stadium for bridal party portraits on the river. The weather was beautiful and sunny until midway through our photos. We headed to Cannery Ballroom to avoid the potential rain. The details were modern and Cannery really speaks for itself so it doesn’t need much help in the decor department. Tables were decorated with the most beautiful wildflowers. The reception was nothing short of the perfect party to celebrate a truly amazing couple. I’m so glad that these two decided to have their wedding in Nashville and that they chose me to be their photographer!
