Sami + Dar had a beautiful whimsical wedding day right off the golf course at Grand Geneva resort in Lake Geneva. Sami + Dar celebrated their love of almost ten years in the making in the rolling hills of Wisconsin, on a perfect Midwest summer day. It was a sunny and warm day for the most part. Despite the unexpected afternoon thunderstorm, they continued the celebration without skipping a beat. As a result of the weather they decide to move the ceremony under the pavilion.
First off, The Grand Geneva is absolutely beautiful and didn’t need much, if any, help to make it look stunning. Sami + Dar added pops of gold and color which elevated the Lake Geneva Venue even more. The ceremony took place under a pavilion in front of a breathtaking floral arch. It was the perfect background for Sami + Dar to exchange wedding vows in front of. As if that wasn’t perfect enough, there were sweeping golf course views from the ceremony location. The reception was both elegant and down to earth. All around the ballroom were round tables, white linens, gold seating for the reception. There were floral arrangements with pops of deep pink, blush, and peach colors in the center of every table. The decor was cohesive throughout every aspect of the day.
More importantly, it wasn’t just the beautiful Midwest day that made Sami + Dar’s day so wonderful. It was so much more than that. Even more important than the details of the day is the fact that Sami + Darwin were high school sweethearts which made their wedding day a celebration in the making for some time. I mean, does it get any cuter?!? Family and friends came from near and far to celebrate the couple. Truly, Sami + Dar are two of the kindest most genuine people you’ll meet and their day was a reflection of that love and care. You could see it specifically in the intentionality of the details as well as the fun and love between them and their bridal party + families.
There was so much more to their day and all in all it was an intentional and beautiful celebration? Their wedding was nothing short of breathtaking and heartwarming. See the photos below, I know you’ll agree with me!!
