Spring Wedding in Hilton Head, South Carolina | Nashville Wedding Photographer | Alexandria And Ron
Alexandria and Ron’s wedding day took place on a beautiful spring day in mid-March. In all my years as a wedding photographer I hadn’t photographed a Hilton Head wedding until now! I was so excited for the experience. I can say that Hilton Head really is all it’s chalked up to be. It is stunning! I can see why people love it so much.
Alexandria got ready for the day at her and Ron’s new home right outside of Hilton Head Island, in Bluffton. Spring in South Carolina is beautiful to say the least. We had a sunny day with no humidity (that’s a miracle in the south). The day was laid back, relaxed, and fun. Alex and Ron had originally planned for a fall 2020 wedding but rescheduled for this spring. Luckily the day went on without a hitch and they didn’t have to restrict their guest list. It was an intimate gathering with their closest family and friends.
The couple started the day with a first look and wanted to prioritize ample time for them to be together for as much time as they could before the ceremony. We visited a historic church (look how freaking pretty it is!) on the water for their first look and portraits. It was really important to them to get photos that captured the beauty of where they live, on the water.
Both the ceremony and reception took place at Venue 1223 in Bluffton. The weather was overcast and not too hot or cold, perfect for an outdoor ceremony. The reception was indoors complete with homemade truffles by Ron’s family, great food, and tons of dancing. Alexandria’s people showed up to make her best reception dancing dreams come true. They were out on the floor all night and I know she wouldn’t have had it any other way.
I hope you enjoy their photos as much as I did taking them!
