Victoria and Pat’s wedding at Ritchie Hill Concord was sweet for many reasons, the biggest one being that they went through SO much in order to get to this day. Their original wedding date was my first wedding that was rescheduled due to Covid-19. In the thick of so much uncertainty, they had to change their wedding date not once but two times in 2020. They finally made it to their day and it was incredible.

Ritchie Hill

Ritchie Hill is a historic venue in Concord, NC, right outside of Charlotte. The family-owned space exudes both charm and class. It maintains the staples of an old home- the rich hardwoods, beautiful details throughout, and my favorite- the stunning wrap-around porch. The space felt like both a blank slate and like coming home to your grandparent’s house.

The Day

The ceremony took place in the back of Ritchie Hill with Victoria and Pat’s 50 closest family and friends. The couple and their guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the front of the home under the market lights on the patio. Victoria and Pat had a cocktail trailer who provided signature drinks for the guests. And right in front of the cocktail trailer, there was a photo booth wall for everyone to take photos in front of. The couple was announced and had their first dance as their family and friends watched from the beautiful wrap around porch. They then enjoyed dinner on the porch which was so cool. It really added to that whole “I feel right at home” feeling of the day.

One of my favorite parts of the day was seeing Victoria and Pat’s worlds all come together to celebrate them. They have many different communities from different parts of their lives (and parts of the U.S.) and it was so cool to see them all in one place.

Pat and Victoria are an incredible pair and they compliment each other in a beautiful way. I’m so honored to have been able to be there and *finally* celebrate their new beginning together after a crazy year of pivots and disappointments in their plans!
