It’s always an honor any time I get to provide photography for Chicago couples. That’s true no matter who the couple is but it’s especially true when it is for a good friend from high school. I always love reconnecting with people from home. I met Steph and Kyle in the suburbs of Chicago for their couples photography session at St. Mary of the Lake in Mundelein, IL.
It was a chilly October afternoon and it was a perfect warmup for their Chicago wedding. The leaves were changing and had mostly fallen off of the trees so it was easy for these fiancés to cozy up for some really cute photos. The weather was colder than expected and these two handled it so gracefully. The upside to the weather was that the grounds were completely empty. Because of this, we made our way to all of the prettiest spots on the grounds with total ease.
As you can see from the photos, we made the most of our time together! You just can’t beat a dreary brisk fall afternoon in the midwest. Steph and Kyle have plans to get married in the suburbs of Chicago, at her grandmother’s church and have their reception at the Marriott in Lincolnshire, IL. I can’t wait to celebrate them and photograph their big day!
