Katie and Cav had the sweetest wedding day at The Cordelle event venue in Nashville. I lived with Katie our freshman and sophomore year at Belmont University. Given the history, I cried more at this wedding than I do on an most wedding days. Katie and Cav bring out the joy, settledness, and peace in each other. It is incredible to see. Watching their family and friends surround them with such celebration was the icing on the cake. I couldn’t contain my joy for them. I hope these images give you a glimpse into the joy and emotion of the day. Between the teary vows and the laughter it was a beautiful celebration.

The bride, her bridesmaids and some family got ready on site at The Cordelle. They have a stunning (it is so beautiful that stunning doesn’t even do it justice) getting ready suite above the event space. Sidenote – I love their bridal suite because doubles as a secluded space for the couples. They can go to the suite to have dinner or a drink together or soak in a moment alone after the ceremony. Katie and Cav decided against a first look so the morning into the afternoon was laid back and filled with quality time for the bride/bridesmaids and groom/groomsmen.
Above all, the ceremony was heartfelt, intentional and incredibly sweet. Katie and Cav said beautiful vows to each other and a lot of the focus was on their families coming together. You could feel the love and support from the guests in attendance.
After the intimate ceremony and cocktail hour, we quickly moved into the best dance party. The groomsmen brought the moves. They were one of the most fun groups I’ve ever worked with. I guess that’s what you get when two incredibly talented musicians have a wedding. In other words, it was a huge party!
The night ended with dancing and toasts. Cheers to the Mims-to a lifetime of joy and dancing and love!
