I got to Werthan Mills Lofts for Dave and Miranda’s engagement session and asked, “So how do y’all feel about having your pictures taken?!” They explained how they feel a bit awkward and uncomfortable. But not even 5 minutes later I couldn’t help but laugh because they are NATURALS (I mean just look at them). This is the exact reason that I encourage my couples to do an engagement session: 1. it gives them a chance to relax, 2. get comfortable with someone is following them around with a camera and 3. actually let down enough to love on each other in a way that gives a genuine taste of what their relationship is like.
Dave and Miranda love swing dancing (I’ve honestly never been more impressed) and smoothies probably more than anyone I know. They are easy going. Their love for each other is sweet and very fun. These pictures give you a glimpse of our night together. It made me that much more excited for their Nashville wedding next month at Marathon Village.
If you’re looking for a good location for your Nashville engagement session, Werthan Mills Lofts is a fun industrial vibe. It’s a hidden gem! It is a good location to consider, along with the neighborhood it is in (Germantown), especially if you want a city vibe with interesting architecture. This was a fun location because I’m always looking for spots around town that *feel* more urban. I love a city vibe. Sometimes that is tougher to find in Nashville. TN’s specialty is beautiful rolling hills and nature, you know what I mean?
