A friend of mine recently asked me if my cheeks hurt when I leave a wedding from smiling so much behind my camera….to be honest I had never paid attention…until Dave and Miranda’s wedding. It’s safe to say that weddings are the BEST and my cheek muscles (do cheeks even have muscles?) get a great […]

Bess and Barrett, Thank you for letting me not only be part of your beautiful wedding day, but letting me document it and giving me the privilege of making your memories tangible. It never ceases to overwhelm me when I think about giving people heirlooms that will be passed down from generation to generation. That’s […]

I got to Werthan Mills Lofts for Dave and Miranda’s engagement session and asked, “So how do y’all feel about having your pictures taken?!”  They explained how they feel a bit awkward and uncomfortable. But not even 5 minutes later I couldn’t help but laugh because they are NATURALS (I mean just look at them). […]

“You are my today and all of my tomorrows.” -Leo Christopher Matthew and I go way way back….to before we were even born. My mom and his mom were roommates in college and continued their friendship afterwards. Matthew and I have been friends our whole lives. It’s a crazy thing to watch somebody you hold […]

I’ve known Hope since we were teenagers and her wedding day was full of nostalgia as memories of growing up together came flooding back to my mind watching her marry the man of her dreams. One of my favorite things about documenting a wedding is being part of those ‘full circle’ moments. It was so sweet to watch Hope promise her forever to such an awesome guy. Zach and Hope compliment each other so well and that showed through so radiantly in the time I had with them. Spending the day with these two was truly so much fun and I can’t wait to see where the future takes you guys!

It was such an honor to be part of Josh and Frances’ big day at the Scarritt Bennett Center. Hearing their story and then watching them commit their forevers to each other was heartwarming and sweet. From the traditional  ceremony (in both English and Spanish), to a reception with a Puerto Rican flare, their day was truly special.

My best friend getting engaged was one of the happiest things I have been apart of, but to have the honor of shooting the day takes it to a whole different level. This day reminded me why I love photography-people allow you into their most intimate and special moments. There is nothing like that privilege. Tyler and Mir, here’s to the start of your newest adventure! Scroll down to follow along through their day!
